This story begins with Erin Solstice, a young woman who is mysteriously transported to an unknown world with unknown rules. With no idea where she is and nothing to help her, she stumbles upon an abandoned inn and, in a twist of fate, becomes an [Innkeeper].

Erin’s journey is one of resilience, unexpected friendships, and discovery as she learns to navigate the challenges of this strange new world. Each choice she makes shapes her path, turning her quiet life as an [Innkeeper] into something extraordinary.

The Creative Journey

The comic began production in 2022 with author pirateaba and artist Dana “ArtsyNada” Johns, whose fan art ignited this project. With their combined vision, talents and growing team of artists, The Wandering Inn has been reimagined to deliver the magic of the original story in a fresh, visual format.

This labor of love is built for both webserial veterans and newcomers, designed to showcase the depth and vibrancy of the Innverse.

Writer pirateaba
Author of The Wandering Inn series, available to read in full on their website, or available in audiobook or ebook formats for your preference. pirateaba has been writing The Wandering Inn since 2016. They enjoy the occasional microwaved bagel or eating popcorn with nutritional yeast, which is a relatable and normal way to eat food.
Lead Artist and Penciler Dana “ArtsyNada” Johns
Dana is the penciler and lead artist for the comic and responsible for all the faces Erin makes. She has worked in graphic design, comics and illustration as well as educational games. As the only European of the crew, she is frequently found cursing about time zones and taxes for merch. She is mostly sustained by coffee and being around her small goblin tribe, consisting of her husband, kid and two cats. See more here: instagram.com/illudanajohns/
Inker Inktrashing
Inktrashing (A. Lee) is a freelance artist working on comics and indie visual novels, who has contributed to several published anthologies and zines. Especially enjoys inking facial expressions and hands. Reads a huge amount of manga. When it comes to inks, looks up to artists like Miwa Shirow, Shirahama Kamome and Gamon Sakurai. Colourist Abby Rummler
Abby is an illustrator from the US who works in publishing doing illustrations for kid’s textbooks. She has always loved the fantastical and grew up on fantasy novels and fairy tales, which serve as great inspiration for her art and make this project pretty exciting. Letterer Kielamel Sibal
Kielamel “Kiela” Sibal is a Filipino-Canadian letterer, graphic designer, cartoonist, writer, and illustrator. She is obsessed with the craft of storytelling and all its different facets. Born in Pampanga, Philippines, Kiela currently dwells in the honey-dill-soaked pits of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she commits acts of heinous and yet ever-so-sparkling wizardry. Adapter and Art Director Jade McGilvray
Jade McGilvray is a comics creator and 3D generalist who has worked in visual effects and animation for over a decade. Producer Chantay Boulanger-Rowe
Chantay loves to help - and that is how she ended up aiding the talented artists with their production. She has worked in Post-Production VFX for clients such as DC and Marvel. She makes sure everyone has the tools, information and morale they need to get their work to that sweet-sweet "Approved" status. You can often find Chantay reading a good book with dragons, walking her two mini Dachshunds with her husband, or playing weekly D&D.
